Are you 13-25? Are you deaf? Want to share your views about work experience and volunteering?
It’s important that there are interesting and accessible ways you can volunteer, find out more about the workplace and learn new skills.
This year we launched our Deaf Works Everywhere campaign. As part of this, we want to make sure there are lots of work experience and volunteering opportunities for you and other deaf young people. You can help us do this!
We have created an online survey to find out all about your experiences and views of volunteering and work experience. You can share your thoughts with us now!
Your answers will help us understand what opportunities there are and how we can improve them.
What is work experience?
A work experience placement is a temporary role, which allows you to gain practical experience – and find out what it’s really like.
What is volunteering?
Have you chosen to spend time doing something, unpaid?
This could be helping run a local group like the scouts, sports coaching, working for free for a charity, business, hospital or school, or maybe working with animals or nature.
This is volunteering.
Find out more about work experience, volunteering and how you can get involved in our survey in Ella’s vlog!
Who can fill out the survey?
You can complete the survey if:
- You are between 13 and 25 years old.
- You live in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland.
- You are deaf. This means any level of deafness from mild to profound.
You don’t have to have done work experience or volunteering to take part. You can still share your views with us!
How long will it take?
The survey is online and takes about 15 minutes to complete. All answers will be kept anonymous.
Ready to share your thoughts?
We will randomly select one person who completes this survey for a £30 Amazon prize.
