Join our Mentors Project!

Are you 15-18? Would you like to receive advice on topics like mental health, school, and your future? Do you want to chat through your ideas with someone? Whatever you’d like to talk about, we can support you through our mentors project.

What is the Mentoring Project?

Our Mentors Project is a 10 week programme where you will get matched with your very own deaf mentor! You will have the chance to share your experiences, and receive support about your mental health, wellbeing and what you would like to do in the future.

During the 10 weeks you will chat to your mentor through text using our mentoring app which you can download to your phone.

What does mentoring mean?

A mentor will listen to you and help you to develop your skills and learn new ways of thinking. You can ask them questions and discuss things such as your career goals or next steps. They are someone you can trust who will support and encourage you to achieve your potential.

How long is the project?

  • If you are successful you will be invited to a training session on Zoom- we will let you know the date as soon as possible.
  • The Mentors Project will start on Monday 8th March- Sunday 16th May 2021. It will last 10 weeks. To take part, you should be able to spend at least 1 hour per week during the 10 week period, chatting with your mentor.

Why should I get involved?

There are many reasons why you should join our Mentor Project! It is a great way for you to:

  • Increase your confidence
  • Learn about a wide range of career options and opportunities
  • Chat to someone else who has had similar experiences

How do I apply?
