Become a Young Inspector

Are you 13-25? Are you passionate about removing barriers for deaf young people?

Lots of websites and services are available for young people, but that doesn’t mean they are easy to access!

You can help to change this.

What does a Young Inspector do?

For our first ever digital Young Inspector training, we are looking for young people 13-25 years to inspect three exciting organisations: My Life My Say, Beatfreeks and Scottish Power.

As a Young Inspector, you will get to choose which of these projects you are most interested in. Your mission will be to investigate their website and interview staff, thinking about what they’re doing well and what could be improved.

You’ll then make recommendations so that each of these groups can make what they do more accessible for deaf young people!

What are the benefits?

As a Young Inspector:

• You will get to meet other deaf young people
• You will be fully trained up during fun and interactive sessions on Zoom
• You will have access to support from our team, as well as palantypists (STTR) and BSL interpreters
• You will gain valuable experience for your CV!
