Love music? Join our online workshop with a professional musician, homemade instruments and musical games!
This August, you can join our free, online music workshop. The event will be hosted by Sean Chandler, a professional trumpet player who is also deaf.
Together with Sean, we’ll play instruments made from items found in your house, take on a fun musical quiz, and enjoy some exciting games. You can bring your own instrument and can perform too!
Who can take part?
You can take part if you are:
- Aged 12-15
You will need access to any computer, smartphone or tablet with an internet connection.
You don’t have to be an expert musician – this class is for everyone including beginners!
When is the workshop?
Tuesday 25 August – 10.30am – 12.30pm
What will I be doing?
Check out what you’ll be getting up to!
- Log onto Zoom – meet the hosts and all the other young people taking part.
- Then – with Sean leading the way, we’ll play our instruments together. These can be made from things around your house. Banging pots and pans, using bottles as flutes, and turning toilet rolls into trumpets are just a few examples!
- Next up – the music quiz and games such as musical statues and flash dancing.
- Finally – if you have brought your own instrument you can play for the group.
