We would love to know more about your experiences as a deaf young person during Coronavirus.
We have created an online survey called Are You Ok? about your mental health and wellbeing and the Coronavirus lockdown.
By mental health and wellbeing, we mean your feelings and thoughts.
Find out all about the survey and Kara’s experience of lockdown here.
What does mental health and wellbeing mean?
Everyone has mental health, just like physical health. It is all about your thoughts, feelings and actions. It is linked to how you view yourself and the world.
Lots of things impact your mental health. Having good mental health means feeling like you can cope with everyday life.
If you are struggling with your mental health you might not feel like yourself or that you can do things you normally do. You might feel worried or upset a lot of the time too.
Wellbeing is all about how good, happy and comfortable you feel. If you feel sad or stressed most of the time it could be a sign that your wellbeing isn’t as good as you would like it to be.
Who can fill out the survey?
You can complete the survey if:
- You are between 13 and 25 years old.
- You live in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland.
- You are deaf. This means any level of deafness from mild to profound.
How long will it take?
The survey is online and takes about 15 minutes to complete. It is up to you whether or not you choose to complete it.
Ready to share your thoughts?
There are two versions of the survey – one is written in English and one is in Welsh. Both have British Sign Language video translation too.
