A visual art skills workshop for deaf young people

A professional illustrator can help you bring your story alive! Come and join our free online illustration workshops, this autumn.

Who will run the workshop?

A professional illustrator who is also deaf, Lucy Rogers. She illustrated our latest book The Quest for the Cockle Implant – you can buy it soon.

What will you learn?

You’ll get to learn how to illustrate a story and take part in lots of fun drawing activities. Lucy will also be sharing her top tips to help you bring your story to life!

Who can take part and when?

There are three workshops for different age groups, open to deaf children and young people. You don’t need any illustration or drawing experience.

Ages 8-11 – Saturday 14 November 2020 – 2-3.30pm
Ages 12-14 – Saturday 21 November 2020- 2-3.30pm
Ages 15-18 – Saturday 28 November 2020- 2-3.30pm

Where?

The workshops will take place on Zoom. Once your place is confirmed, we will send out all the information you need to join.

Communication support?

Speak, sign or both – we have it covered! Closed captioning and BSL interpretation will be available.
